On November 5, 1955, Emmett "Doc" Brown was standing on the edge of his toilet, while hanging a clock in his bathroom. But the porcelain was wet, making Doc slip, fall and hit his head on the sink. When Doc came to, he had a vision of the flux capacitor in his head. The capacitor was constructed in 1985, and placed in a DeLorean, turning the car into a time machine. When Marty McFly drove the car over 88 miles per hour, he was transported from 1985 to 1955. Marty had to find a younger version of Doc to help Marty get back to the future.
