In The Big Boss, Bruce Lee portrayed Cheng Chao-an, a man who moved to live with his adopted family and work in an ice factory. When Cheng's family discovered that the ice factory was a front for a drug smuggling ring led by "The Big Boss" Hsiao Mi, they were killed. Cheng had promised not fight, but when the amulet that he wore around his neck was ripped off, he went on a rampage, and was determined to destroy Hsiao Mi and all of his thugs.
