A farm boy named Westley dressed as Dread Pirate Roberts and rescued Buttercup when he outmatched and outwitted the outlaws. When Buttercup was taken away again, Prince Humperdink ordered that Westley was to be locked in the Pit of Dispair, and he was to be tortured to death. Westley was brought back to life by Miracle Max, and he rescued Buttercup once again!
